NOVA Creative Lab (Antony Lyons and Scott Farlow) was commissioned by Sheffield City Council to undertake community-based visioning and to prepare an ambitious design strategy for the streets, parks and open spaces of Parson Cross and Foxhill, located in North Sheffield.
Our approach was to discover, map and celebrate local character, stories and memories. We also drew on the distinctive visual identities to help reinvigorate these neighbourhoods, and enhance connections to the landscape settings. Proposals for environmental change lie at the heart of the work and its outputs.

The research phase culminated in a comprehensive, sustainability-based public realm vision. This includes a detailed tool-kit to guide planners, developers and creative initiatives in identifying opportunities for locally-distinctive transformations.
